Nieuwe Kerk - The ‘New Church’ was built around the year 1400 due to lack of churches in the city. Located in the city centre at the Dam Square, this gothic styles church is for its prestigious exhibitions, royal coronations and weddings. In 1980, Queen Beatrix was officially inaugurated in the Nieuwe Kerk. In 2002, Prince of Orange Willem-Alexander and Princess Máxima married in this wonderful church.
Although some guidebooks state that you are allowed to take pictures, it’s recommended to ask first!
