Sarphatipark is located in the neighbourhood of 'De pijp'. The park is named after the
Jewish doctor and philanthropist Samuel Sarphati. A wonderful monument in honour of Samuel Sarphati dominates the park and is an attraction on its own. Although the park doesn't offer much due to loss of trees that had to endure severe winters and diseases, the park offers a relaxed atmosphere where one can have a peaceful rest or a quick stroll in a clean and green environment. The park is also ideal for pickining with goodies one can buy from the nearby Albert Cuyp Market. Another advantage of the location is the dozens of restaurants and cafés nearby.
Getting there: On foot about 20 minutes walk from the Rijksmuseum.
Tram lines – 3, 25; exit on a stop Tweede van der Helstraat.
