Basilica of St. Servatius - The ancient Basilica of St. Servatius dates back to 1000 a.c. The Basilica was named after the first bishop of Maastricht, St. Servatius. Interesting to note the impressive Emperor's Gallery and the sculpted Berg portal.A fine collection of relics, paintings and figurines are displayed in the Treasury showcases.
The magnificent sculpted bust of St. Servatius together with some of his possessions such as the pectoral cross; the pilgrim's staff; the crosier; the chalice with portable altar; the seal; and the goblet are the displayed for the public as well.
